PARKER UNDERWOOD
FACEOFF SPECIALIST
Bay Area native Parker Underwood started his career playing for the Burlingame Coyotes where he went on to play for various club programs across the nation.

Parker Underwood is a nationally ranked Face Off specialist who came
up through the Burlingame Coyotes lacrosse program when he fell
in love with the sport. Going on to play for countless club and
travel programs both throughout California and Nationally,
Underwood started his high school career at Sacred Heart Prep
then went on to play for IMG Academy’s Varsity and National teams.
Following high school with a FaceOff win percentage north of 90%, he played for Team USA West in the World Games in Israel before he began his Division 1 career at Marquette University. Due to injuries, Parker transferred to Santa Clara University to wrap up his college career under coaches Patrick Sweeney and Greg Hollingshead. Unfortunately due to another post-season injury, Parker was unable to play for & represent Team Ireland in the 2023 World Games in San Diego, but intends on playing for them in the future.
When asked why he chose to continue to grow the game & stay immersed in the sport and community Underwood had a lot to say. “When I reflect on my life and how lacrosse has impacted it, I just wish I quit baseball earlier and picked up a stick. My longest standing and most valuable mentors are all a direct product of my choice to buy into lacrosse. I’ve been lucky enough to have the best coaches the sport has to offer, and they’ve helped & taught me a wealth of knowledge both on and off the field. I owe so much to the lacrosse world so even if I wanted to, I can’t step away from it and no injury or surgery can make me. I want to make this game to be accessible to everyone, it’s why I coached wheel chair lacrosse at Marquette and it’s why I’ll spend the rest of my life trying to give back to the sport that has given me so much. It’s more than a sport, respecting the origins of the Medicine Game and making it available to all is my why.”
